The story of Wishkeepr

It all started with the frustration of organising a children's birthday party. Our daughter's birthday was coming up and we had to take care of the presents. Our daughter had made a collage of her wishes, which we wanted to share "simply" with everyone. But this time we wanted neither confusing group chats nor a rigid list in a single online shop, because no retailer had all of her wishes in stock.

We needed one central, free place for all the wishes, with no sign-up hurdles and so simple that anyone could reserve gifts in real time. Because we couldn't find exactly that anywhere, we built Wishkeepr ourselves.

Our mission

When birthdays, Christmas or weddings come around, the anticipation should be what matters. Our mission with Wishkeepr is to offer a free online wishlist tool with no sign-up required, to manage wishes in one place, avoid duplicate purchases and organise gifts without fuss. A single link is all it takes to collect wishes and share them with family and friends right away.

Our tool saves time and energy and makes sure everyone ends up happy: those who give and those who unwrap.

To keep it that way, we have built Wishkeepr on four clear principles from day one:

• A tool that's child's play to use: An intuitive wishlist tool for creating wishlists in no time and adding new wishes in a flash.
• No sign-up required: Creating and sharing a wishlist should be possible right away, without signing up. Gift-givers can reserve wishes without an account, too.
• 100% free: Wishkeepr is and will stay free, with all its features. We are funded only by small shop commissions.
• Privacy first: No tracking cookies, no passing on of data. The data stays anonymised and protected on servers in Germany.

How we are funded

Wishkeepr is 100% free and has no hidden costs. We want to build a useful tool, which is why we do without ad banners entirely and never sell user data to third parties.

To cover our costs and keep developing Wishkeepr, we use affiliate links. This means: when someone clicks a wish and buys it in a partner shop, we sometimes receive a small commission. For the gift-givers, absolutely nothing changes: the price of the product stays exactly the same.

Who is behind Wishkeepr

Wishkeepr is run by a couple of parents from Berlin, Muriel and Winfried:

• Muriel has a background in business and marketing and is in charge of product development. She is an organised thinker full of new ideas, who is passionate about strategies, plans and analyses and likes to think outside the box.
• Winfried is an experienced IT specialist and takes care of technology and development. He is a true doer who makes wishes come true. He loves innovation, is passionate about learning new things and is always ready to give more than necessary.

Together we combine our strengths with a whole lot of heart to make Wishkeepr a little better, simpler and more intuitive every day.
