No. At Wishkeepr, ease of use and strong privacy come first. You can create a wishlist right away, without signing up and without an email address. The people you share your list with don't need an account or an email address either – they just open the link to view and reserve wishes.

Yes, Wishkeepr is 100% free for you and everyone you share your wishlist with.

You can use Wishkeepr anywhere, on any device, in your web browser – whether on a computer, tablet or smartphone. On Android you can also install Wishkeepr on your home screen to add gift ideas to your list even more easily.

Yes. A wishlist doesn't have to be for yourself. For example, you can create a list for your child and share it with grandparents, family and friends.

Especially for birthdays and Christmas, this helps collect wishes in one place, avoid duplicate gifts and better coordinate who wants to give what.

To offer Wishkeepr for free and without annoying ad banners, we use affiliate links. When you or your guests click such a link to a shop and buy something there, we sometimes receive a small commission from that shop. Of course, the price for the buyer stays the same!

In short: there's no real difference – the terms mean exactly the same thing! They're used interchangeably to describe a collection of things you hope for or that others can give you.

In practice, the name often just depends on the occasion or tradition:

• Christmas list: The classic term that many people associate above all with children, Christmas and the letter to Santa.
• Wishlist: The modern, digital name for your wishes on the internet – exactly what you create on Wishkeepr.
• Gift registry: Often used for specific celebrations, e.g. a wedding registry, a baby shower list or a birthday list.

Whatever you call it: with Wishkeepr you can create, manage and share any kind of wishlist, Christmas list or gift registry for any occasion, free of charge!

Because Wishkeepr works entirely without user accounts and passwords to protect your data, your browser is what connects you to your list. If you can't find your list, go through these steps:

1. Check your admin link: Did you send yourself the admin link after creating the list (e.g. via WhatsApp, email or a notes app)? Just click it.

2. Use the same device and browser: Open Wishkeepr on the exact device and browser you originally created the list with. We'll usually recognise you and show your list.

3. Browser history: Look through your browser's history. The link to your list is often easy to find there.

4. Create a new one: If steps 1 to 3 don't help (e.g. because you cleared all browser data), you'll unfortunately have to create the list again.

   Tip: Next time, save your admin link somewhere safe right after creating the list!

Wishkeepr brings together wishes from all kinds of websites in one place, so adding them is designed to be super easy:

• On desktop (computer): Use our handy “Keepr Button” (a small bookmark for your browser). It lets you add wishes from any shop page to your list with a single click. You'll find the Keepr Button in the 3-dot menu.
• On Android: If you've installed Wishkeepr on your home screen, you can send products from your mobile browser straight to Wishkeepr using your phone's “Share” function.
• Everywhere else: Use our quick and simple add dialog right in the web app. Just copy the link, paste it, done!

The Keepr Button (also called a bookmarklet) is the fastest and easiest way to add wishes to your list on a computer. You drag the button into your browser's bookmarks bar once. Whenever you then discover a great product in any shop, just click the bookmark – and the wish is added to your Wishkeepr wishlist automatically, no copying and pasting links!

Yes. You're not tied to particular shops. You can add products from all big and small online shops, but also wishes from offline stores or very personal things (like “A homemade cake”, “A voucher for the bakery around the corner” or “An afternoon of babysitting”).

That way you can organise practically all your wishes in one place.

When you paste a link, we usually try to fill in images, titles and prices for you automatically. Some online shops, however, block automatic reading of their product data. In that case, just quickly enter the missing information (such as the item's name) yourself.

• The admin link is your personal access for managing the wishlist. Only people with this link can edit the list, add, change or delete wishes. Best keep it to yourself or share it only with a trusted person who may also edit the list!
• The share link is meant for your guests. When you share it with family and friends, they can view your wishes and reserve them – but they can't delete or edit wishes.

Yes, that's easy. If, for example, you want to create a list for your child or your wedding together with your partner, simply share the admin link with them. You'll find it right below your wishlist. Since no sign-up is needed, you can both edit and update the list right away from your own devices.

Yes. With the admin link you can update it anytime, add new wishes or change existing ones.

That way you can keep the list current over a long time instead of creating a new one or resending old links each time.

Your wishlist is kept for 1 year after its last change and then deleted automatically. Every change – whether you edit something on the list or someone reserves a wish – starts the year over. That way, a list that is in use stays around.

Yes, you're always in full control of your data and can delete your wishlist in just a few clicks.

Simply open your list using your admin link. Click the menu icon with the three dots at the top right (right next to the “Share” button) and choose “Delete list”. As soon as you confirm, the wishlist and all the wishes in it are removed, and the share link no longer works for anyone.

That's easy! Since Wishkeepr works entirely without a user account or sign-up, you can create as many wishlists as you like for different occasions or people (e.g. for Christmas, a child's birthday or different family members).

To manage several lists comfortably, you have two simple options:

• Save the admin links: After creating each list, simply save its admin link (e.g. as a bookmark in your browser, in your notes or in a message to yourself). With this link you can edit and update that list anytime, from any device.
• Use the same browser: When you open Wishkeepr on the device and in the browser you originally created the lists with, Wishkeepr usually shows your active wishlists again right away.

When you share your wishlist, others can see which gifts you wish for. Anyone who wants to give something can reserve that wish.

Other gift-givers then see that the wish is already taken. This avoids duplicate gifts – without everyone needing their own Wishkeepr account.

This helps especially with larger families, groups of friends or jointly organised gifts, and prevents the usual “Who's getting what?” in WhatsApp groups.

Yes, your friends and relatives can reserve wishes without signing up. When you pass the link to your wishlist on to family and friends, they can reserve any wish with a single click.

Wishkeepr itself is not an online shop and doesn't sell any products of its own. We simply help you collect your wishes neatly in one place and show them to your loved ones.

The gifts can be bought however suits best: usually your guests just click the shop link saved in your wishlist and order the gift directly from that online shop. For wishes from local stores or without a link, they can of course also buy the gift offline in a shop of their choice and then mark it as reserved on your list.

No, absolutely not. The reservation is purely an organizational tool to prevent gift ideas from being bought twice.

You decide for yourself whether you purchase the item through the provided shop link, from a different online store, or locally in a shop. If you change your mind, you can cancel your reservation at any time with a single click and release the wish for others.

Your wishlist is completely private and protected. Only people you actively share the share link with (e.g. family or friends) can see your wishes. Your list is not publicly visible, and it can't be found through search engines or a search on the Wishkeepr website. Without your personal link, nobody has access to it.

Protecting your data matters a lot to us. Wishkeepr stores all data exclusively on secure servers in Germany. Your wishlist is therefore subject to the European Union's strict data protection standards (GDPR).

Wishkeepr is designed to work with as little personal data as possible. To create and share a wishlist you need neither a user account nor to give us an email address.

Wishkeepr also follows data minimisation in its technical processing. We don't use any third-party tracking or marketing cookies. All required data is stored only as long as strictly necessary.

No. Wishkeepr never sells personal data and doesn't use your wishlist to build advertising profiles. We consistently stick to our principle of maximum privacy. Our service is funded transparently, purely through affiliate commissions from partner shops – with no trading of data whatsoever.
